Clinics & Services
Our nurses offer all our new patients a full health check and our existing patients a health check on a regular basis. They are multi-skilled and can offer help and advice on most aspects of health.
In addition to normal consultations the doctors and practice nurses co-operate to provide the following services:
- Health promotion
- Well person
- Weight reduction
- Smoking cessation
- Family planning
- Pre-pregnancy advice
- Foreign travel advice
- Travel Vaccinations
- Memory Clinic
There are also fees payable for letters or certificates you may ask your GP to write on your behalf - such as fitness to travel, housing benefit support, holiday cancellation forms etc. These letters are not included in the NHS work your GP carries out for you and therefore their time is chargeable. Please ask Reception for a list of current fees payable if required.
Dr Thapar is skilled in performing a number of procedures, avoiding joining lengthy hospital waiting lists and generally more convenient for you. Procedures are usually carried out once a month during a Minor Surgery clinic. These are for non-urgent cases only.
Childrens' Immunisation Programme
Each vaccination is given as a single injection into the muscle of the thigh or upper arm. Immunisation booklets explaining the schedule of injections are available from reception or your child's health visitor.
